During the end of my Bachelor's degree in Chandigarh University, several standard and extra procedures are followed partly as necessity and the other as precaution; collect as much document as possible to avoid any future need to go back.

Kind of documents

  • No Dues Certificate
  • Original Degree
  • Detailed Marks Certificate (DMC)
  • Transcript
  • Character certificate
  • CGPA certificate
  • MOI (Method of Instruction)
  • Migration certificate

Some of those document requires fee to be paid, such as transcript and migration certificate each costing 1000 INR. MOI certify that the method of instruction is in English and may be used as an additional English proficiency certificate.

A No Dues Certificate is most known here in abbr of NOC which suppose to stands as No Objection Certificate but found miss-align with the title of the form itself which is "No Dues Certificate". A DMC somehow also known as Detailed Marksheet.

Fastest way to accomplish

Request for documents which are not requiring NOC by either online or offline by the B1 room 207 window 1. Those are transcript, character certificate, CGPA certificate, and MOI. They will process within 4-6 days and after that time you can collect the physical copy of the document by the same window. A scanned copy will also be emailed to you.

In the mean time, process your NOC which can be completed as fast as 4 days[1] and show them to the DMC section to collect your original degree. Spend a time in the Head of Department office to get a NOC sign and to collect your DMC. By the time of graduation, Head of Department office may lack of your latest semester DMC, then it needs to be collected from the DMC office.

Once you get a completed NOC, collect your original degree get it scanned, prepare scanned transcript, and apply for Apostille service through E-Sanad. The process explained in detail at a page Chandigarh University on eSanad.

In short, get document not requiring NOC while doing the NOC, then apostille your document. and congrats, those are all 🎉

No Dues Certificate

A No Dues Certificate also known as NOC, is required to collect the original degree and serve to certify student has no pending obligations with the university. NOC for international students contains 10 signatures which need to be taken in order:

  1. Department Alumni Coordinator
  2. Head of Department
  3. Department of Alumni Relations
  4. Department or Central Library
  5. Hostel Warden
  6. Transport Manager
  7. Accounts Section
  8. Executive Director
  9. Registration Office
  10. Registrar

The only difference with non-international is the absence of Executive Director's signature[2].

Students should keep the copy of NOC for future reference[3].
